Join us in this interactive space to write our letters to the editor of the Guardian in response to the op-ed AI wrote:
"We asked GPT-3, OpenAI’s powerful new language generator, to write an essay for us from scratch. The assignment? To convince us robots come in peace."
The op-ed and my response were read during our Engagement Stream, 'AI: My Story, The Story AI Tells, Bias and Privacy,' Pt 1: Watch Here
In this Engagement Stream, we are learning what Artificial Intelligence is, and how it is being used with facial recognition and other interfaces.
With the new world of AI, there are ethical considerations with implementation. We have been thrust quickly and deeply in this new world in 2020. There are ethical implications with bias that need to be considered. Toyota Corporation does not have a quality department. Quality is every employee’s role. Business leaders will benefit greatly with a strategy to build infrastructure correctly. Humans have bias, and we are being tasked to feed AI information. There are privacy implications with a surveillance system gathering data about us.
OBJECTIVES:
1. Participants will leave with an increased understanding of ethics &. AI.
2. Participants will increase ethical considerations of data mining & privacy as related to marketing.
3. Participants will identify bias we all carry with implications for diversity & inclusion.
4. Business leaders & software developers will benefit greatly with a strategy to build infrastructure ethically.
During this session, we will share our responses to the letter AI wrote, preparing and sharing our essays to send them to the editor of The Guardian.
