Come as You Are!
For 2 hours each week, we gather to practice this simple "gateway" listening practice.
This is a simple, structured group practice that offers emotional support to enhance well being, helps to build trust, increases a sense of being heard for all involved, and provides opportunity for practicing active listening.
It is easy to learn, and can also be used for conflict resolution and for engaging across political divides.
Below is a 9 minute video explaining the process, created by Edwin Reutsch of the Center for Building a Culture of Empathy (who also offers free 4 week training sessions for those who want to learn to facilitate).
Please watch the video to get a basic idea of how the process works.
(We will also go over the process in the beginning of each session.)
